Help shape our Alternative Manifesto

At our AGM we told our members that we would be working with other organisations to put together an alternative manifesto which would be released in early January. But to do this right we need your help. We need you to tell us what you think about the things that really count in your daily life and those of your family, friends and work colleagues.

We need a political language and analysis that is rooted in the every day. We need examples like the simple concept of the time to read your child a bed time story. From this we can build an argument and policy remedies. The beauty of this example is that it works for all social groups and allows us to build a cross class appeal. But what are the other examples in daily life of a world in which markets are to free and profits are put before people? We need your experiences and ideas.

We will read and consider all responses and work what we can into the manifesto. A large part of this manifesto has already been decided by you, our members in the Living in the 21st Century project, which involved over 200 policy submissions. But now we want to know about the things that really matter to you - the things that you really value.

Ideally, we would like responses of around 200 words in length. Please submit your answers to the questions by the 11th December - but the earlier the better. We need your help in thinking through the issues.
